Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract A professional opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist In Charge to support pharmacy operations in Citrus Heights, CA. This contract role offers an immediate start with a duration of approximately 8 to 13 weeks, providing a critical leadership presence during this period.

Friday:
10:00 AM - 6:30
PM Saturday:
9:00 AM - 5:30
PM Closed Sundays Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end prescription processing and dispensing Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients Supervise and manage pharmacy technicians to maintain smooth workflow Ensure proper opening and closing of the pharmacy, with compliance to all regulatory requirements Complete all necessary Pharmacist In Charge documentation and paperwork
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of two years' recent retail pharmacy experience required Prior experience as a Retail Pharmacist In Charge highly preferred Possession of a valid California pharmacist license (in-hand) Immunization certification and current BLS (Basic Life Support) card are mandatory Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system is essential Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively This role requires a dedicated and certified pharmacist ready to take charge and contribute to a well-run pharmacy environment immediately. Candidates with comprehensive retail experience and PIC background are highly encouraged to apply.
