Experience / Qualifications

Must be a current registered pharmacist in the state of Florida, board certification. Self-motivated Good interpersonal communication with physicians, nurses, etc. Problem solving skills Work as a team player Ability to use computerized information systems Position Summary Under the supervision of the Manager of Pharmacy, performs all duties necessary to provide effective daily operation of all departmental services and programs. This includes compounding, labeling and dispensing of medication and IV admixtures. Supervises pharmacy technicians in all work areas. Provide clinical services to enhance medication administration and therapeutic outcomes Provide clinical drug information to meet the needs of the healthcare staff Participation in appropriate committees Provide support for department education including residents, interns, and students Require up to 25% variable staff rotation to meet department needs including evenings and weekends Performs other duties as assigned Team Member Competencies Establishing Relationships Builds effective networks, working relationships, and alliances in order to collaborate effectively within department and organization. Physical Requirements Requires sitting for long periods of time, also stooping, bending, standing, and stretching. Must have manual dexterity for typing and computer data entry. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs., carry and lift up to 20lbs.
