Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for an Independent Retail Pharmacist role based in Fall River Mills, CA, offering a 13-week contract with a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer, this position plays a vital role in delivering personalized pharmaceutical care tailored to community needs while ensuring the safe and effective management of medications.

Chief Clinical Officer Key Responsibilities:
Manage all facets of retail pharmaceutical services including procurement, distribution, storage, and administration of medications. Compound and dispense prescribed medications, ensuring accuracy and safety. Counsel patients on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage upon request. Direct pharmacy staff engaged in medication preparation and labeling. Maintain quality assurance procedures, manage controlled substances protocols, and oversee disposal of hazardous waste. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care and pharmacy services. Keep accurate records, handle third-party prescription insurance matters, and comply with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations. Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with industry changes. Foster a positive, professional environment with patients, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications:
Licensed to practice pharmacy in California. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.

D. from an ACPE-accredited college. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and best practices. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and exhibiting professionalism at all times.
