Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Join a prominent county health system as a Staff Pharmacist, supporting vital inpatient care at a major healthcare facility in Glendale, CA. This contract opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with strong clinical skills and a desire to transition into a permanent role within one of the largest public health systems in the region. This role primarily serves the inpatient pharmacy in a Los Angeles County Department of Health hospital, known for its integrated ambulatory care and hospital network. Candidates with a PGY-1 residency are highly preferred, though pharmacists with at least two years of inpatient experience, including hospital interns, may also be considered.

Schedule:
8-hour shifts Flexible availability required for primarily 1st and 2nd shifts; occasional 3rd shifts possible
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver safe and effective pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a fast-paced environment Conduct medication reviews, prepare and dispense medications accurately Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to patient care plans Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards Pass a one-time competency exam before onboarding, followed by background clearance
Qualifications:
