Ideal candidate is able to work 5 hour shifts 3-4 times a week including Saturday. Weekday is flexible. Saturday's 9-2 shifts preferred. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Our expertise is in compounding medications with a commitment to safety and quality assurance. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of our patients by building strong relationships with physicians and patients and by serving as a knowledgeable, dependable health resource. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9-6 pm and Saturday from 9-2pm. We are closed on Sundays and major holidays. Our mission is to provide our patients with an excellent experience, opportunity to optimize their health and improve their quality of living. Duties The Pharmacist will provide quality customer service to patients and health care providers in a friendly and professional manner. He/she will assist and supervise all aspects of the operations within the pharmacy. Duties answering incoming customer telephone calls, advise healthy care practitioners on the interactions and side effects of medications, making outbound telephone calls to patients and health care providers, request and receive prescription refills, accurately and efficiently process prescription orders including entering patient and prescription order information into our pharmacy system, assist walk-in customers, fill prescription orders for dispensing, print patient invoices and labels for dispensing and apply patient labels to medications for dispensing, provide patient pertinent drug information, proactively review prescriptions for proper dosage. Requirements Fluent in oral and written English PharmD degree, or equivalent Active Pharmacy License issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List Compounding experience preferred We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
