JOB SUMMARY

A $20,000 bonus for a three-year commitment. Dispenses prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy. Directs pharmacy workers engaged in packaging, labeling and refilling pharmaceuticals. Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals. Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs. Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory. Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength. Instructs interns and other medical personnel on matters pertaining to pharmacy.

Minimum Requirements:

Valid license to practice pharmacy in the state of California, PharmD preferred. Must have Retail Pharmacy experience Strong customer service experience required Strong computer skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self- Starter and extremely motivated to succeed Enthusiastic personality- you MUST be a people person Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team atmosphere
