Licensed Pharmacist Full Job Description Note:
This is a continuous recruitment requisition for Part-Time Staff Pharmacists at Hoag Irvine. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis for openings across multiple shifts as needed. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provides pharmaceutical services to the hospital's inpatients and outpatients. Compounds and dispenses pharmaceutical preparations and acts as a source of drug information to all members of the health care team. Accurately reviews and accurately interprets physician orders. Enters medication orders into the computer. Monitors for stat medications. Checks for accuracy of tasks performed by others. Always able to prepare complex pharmaceutical admixtures. Projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct. Maintains a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Graduation from a pharmacy program with at least a B.S. degree required Pharmacy experience or graduation from an ASHP-accredited residency program preferred Fulfills mandatory stroke education requirements per certification agency
License Required:
Valid license to practice pharmacy in the
State of California License Preferred:
