Monday to Friday, 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., no weekends

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Monitor patient medication adherence and detect over-usage or misuse patterns. Ensure the appropriateness and suitability of prescribed medications for patients. Maintain detailed and confidential patient records and pharmacy files. Advise patients regarding medication use, potential side effects, and answer their medication-related questions. Provide patient consultations on prescription and non-prescription medications, including storage, dosage, and drug interactions. Offer additional health services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management. Educate patients on the correct use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols. Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, ensuring efficient pharmacy operations. Maintain inventory controls for pharmaceuticals and medical supplies. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve drug-related issues and improve patient outcomes. Qualifications /

Desired Experience:

Valid California pharmacist license. Experience in retail pharmacy accepted; training will be provided for long-term care setting. Strong clinical skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal pharmacy practices.
