Our team of experienced urologists utilizes advanced technology and minimally invasive techniques to deliver exceptional patient outcomes across multiple locations. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rx Dispensing Representative to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position is responsible for verifying insurance benefits and obtaining authorization for in-office pharmacy dispensing, tracking patients due dates to ensure prescriptions are refilled timely and without lapse, and working with patients. This position has frequent interaction with department leads and managers, and provides the highest level of customer service to our patients. Position is In-person, at our Laguna Hills office location
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Essential Functions:
Verify Pharmacy benefits and coverage for prescribed medications Continuously monitor foundations for available grants and financial support availability Work Closely with patients to assist with completing applications for grants and financial assistance Obtains authorizations for prescribed medications when needed Works daily routes for new and refilled prescriptions Communicates with Triage Nurse to submit prescriptions to pharmacies, and places orders Tracks patients who are due for medication refills to ensure no lapse in treatment Conveys information about possible adverse effects and/or drug interactions to physicians and clinical staff Works with revenue cycle staff to monitor drug costs and reimbursement, and immediately alerts manager with any issues related to cost, reimbursement or our ability to dispense. Assists with packing and dispensing from all offices Additional tasks as assigned by manager or lead
Qualifications:
Required skills & qualifications: Effective communication and customer service skills Excellent follow through and logical problem-solving abilities Demonstrates responsibility and initiative Excellent computer skills and an ability to work with excel spreadsheets Strong attention to detail ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment ability to commute to all office locations to assist with the delivery of medications Preferred skills & qualifications: Knowledge of Modmed, QS1 and Liberty software Medical terminology
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.96 per hour
