Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available within a large health system known for its extensive ambulatory care and inpatient services. This contract role offers exposure to collaborative patient care across multiple hospital settings and outpatient clinics, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position. The position requires providing direct clinical pharmacy support, ensuring safe medication use, and working closely with healthcare teams to optimize therapy outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Deliver clinical pharmacy services in the inpatient environment Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during patient care rounds to contribute to medication management decisions Oversee safe and effective distribution and administration of medications Maintain adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements Participate actively in clinical decision-making processes to optimize patient outcomes
Desired Qualifications:
Valid pharmacist license with current certifications as required Approximately two or more years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience PGY1 residency strongly preferred; however, all well-qualified candidates with inpatient experience are encouraged to apply Ability to successfully pass a competency exam (one attempt) Completion of a background check (Livescan)
Schedule:
8-hour shifts with flexible availability required for first and second shifts; occasional third shifts may be necessary Variable days/afternoons with a 4x10-hour schedule per week

Los Angeles, CA (including Long Beach area proximity)
