Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract A dynamic opportunity exists for a pharmacy professional to assume a leadership role within an animal health compounding pharmacy. This full-time, onsite position offers the chance to supervise and guide a team of pharmacists focused on delivering exceptional compounded preparations in a specialized setting. The role emphasizes operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement.

Full-Time, Onsite Contract Opportunity Available Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of pharmacists, fostering a culture of accountability and growth Establish and uphold productivity and quality benchmarks within the compounding lab Oversee daily compounding operations to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to protocols Ensure compliance with USP , , and standards, along with all relevant state and federal regulations Maintain comprehensive training records and verify adherence to compounding procedures Support selection of appropriate drugs for dispensing and compounded formulations Identify opportunities for process enhancements and formulation innovation Collaborate effectively with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional teams Uphold confidentiality and organizational policies rigorously
Qualifications:
Active California Pharmacist license in good standing BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a pharmacy lab environment 2-5 years of hands-on compounding expertise In-depth knowledge of USP , , , State Board regulations, and 503A requirements Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring capabilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite This role demands a dedicated pharmacy professional ready to drive excellence in a complex compounding environment with a focus on animal health.
