Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the overall health and wellness of our community. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacy practices, and a commitment to patient assessment and management. Responsibilities Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. Provide patient care by counseling patients on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions. Conduct thorough patient assessments to ensure appropriate medication therapy management. Compounding medications as needed, following aseptic techniques to maintain safety and quality. Maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy software systems. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes through effective medication management. Stay current with advancements in pharmacy practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Experience Completion of a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
D.) degree from an accredited institution. Pharmacy residency experience is preferred but not required. Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with pharmacy software systems. Demonstrated skills in compounding medications and applying aseptic techniques. Strong background in patient care, with the ability to assess individual patient needs effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
