Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A full-time inpatient pharmacist opportunity is available at a well-established medical center in Ventura County. This role primarily involves supporting inpatient pharmacy services with a dynamic schedule that includes 8- and 10-hour shifts, mainly four 10-hour shifts per week. The schedule is variable and may include swing shifts, some weekends, and occasional holidays, offering a stimulating and flexible work environment.
Responsibilities include:
Dispensing and verifying medications for inpatient care Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintaining accurate medication records and inventory control Participating in pharmacy rounds and clinical consultations Adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications or Desired Experience:
Valid California Pharmacist license is required Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting preferred Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems a plus, with training available Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation This contract position is available for an immediate start, with an anticipated duration of approximately 3 to 6 months and the potential to transition into a permanent role. It offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a hospital setting while gaining valuable experience.
