Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem A healthcare facility in Running Springs, CA is seeking a dedicated Clinical Pharmacist to provide per diem support. This role offers a structured Monday through Friday day shift schedule, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional on-call weekends and after-hours availability, although calls are rare.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify and review medication orders ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and patient safety. Compound sterile medications including IV admixtures and unit doses; chemo/hazardous drugs are not part of this role. Respond promptly to emergency room codes when necessary. Maintain regulatory compliance with hospital policies and relevant state and federal laws, including sterile compounding standards. Monitor patients' medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations to physicians and nursing staff. Restock Pyxis machines at two local family health centers as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Active and clear California Pharmacist License. Minimum of 2 years' experience in inpatient pharmacy practice. Familiarity with software systems such as CSPI, Evident, and Pyxis is preferred; training available if needed. Experience working independently as the sole pharmacist in a clinical setting is a plus. Ability to fulfill all on-call responsibilities as required.

Schedule:
