Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Two Pharmacists are needed immediately for a 12-week contract with potential to transition to a permanent role in a Long Term Care setting. This opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with no weekend shifts. The position is located in the Sanger, CA area and is well suited for pharmacists ready to begin work without delay.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications Monitor patient medication compliance and usage patterns Ensure medication supply meets legal requirements and suitability for patients Maintain confidential and accurate patient records and pharmacy files Advise patients on medication usage, potential reactions, side effects, and answer questions Provide consultations regarding prescription and non-prescription drugs, including storage, dosage, and interactions Offer patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure readings, and cholesterol management Educate patients on the proper use of medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors Prepare compounded medications and sterile solutions with adherence to proper procedures Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks Maintain inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies Identify and communicate drug-related problems to physicians and healthcare practitioners Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members including physicians, nurses, and pharmacy interns

Qualifications and Experience:

California Pharmacist License is required Retail pharmacists are welcomed and will receive training for the Long Term Care environment Ability to work effectively in a healthcare team setting This contract role provides a valuable opportunity for pharmacists ready to engage in a Long Term Care setting and contribute to patient care.
