This role requires competence in IV compounding and Pyxis system operation, ensuring accurate and efficient medication preparation and dispensing. Location Santa Ana, CA (local candidates preferred) Schedule / Hours Full-time for approximately 4 weeks, transitioning to a PRN schedule Rotating shifts with tech team, including: 07:30 AM to 4:00 PM 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM Weekend shifts: 08:00 AM to 4:30 PM Responsibilities Perform inpatient pharmacy technician duties including IV compounding under supervision Accurately fill Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets Utilize Paragon/Allscripts order entry system for medication processing Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare team to support patient care needs Maintain proper documentation and follow hospital policies and safety standards Qualifications / Desired Experience Valid California pharmacy technician license required Experience with IV sterile compounding essential Familiarity with Pyxis automated dispensing systems Competence in electronic order entry using Paragon/Allscripts preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills This contract role is ideal for a pharmacy technician seeking initial full-time hours with the flexibility to continue on a PRN basis thereafter.
