Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A full-time opportunity is available for a Compounding Pharmacist in Bakersfield, CA, with an assignment through July 2026 and potential for permanent placement. This role focuses on overseeing both sterile and non-sterile compounding processes in a pharmacy setting, ensuring high-quality medication preparation and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding to maintain strict quality standards Perform final verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy and safety Fill, label, and prepackage medications efficiently and accurately Communicate effectively with healthcare providers for order clarifications, refills, and new prescriptions Counsel patients and address their medication-related questions Ensure compliance with
USP 795, 797, 800
guidelines and state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM Full-time through July 2026
Qualifications:
PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree Active California Pharmacist license 3 to 5 years of pharmacy experience, with preference for compounding background Strong communication and organizational skills to manage workflow and patient interactions This contract role offers the opportunity to utilize specialized compounding skills in a regulated pharmacy environment, with a stable schedule and the possibility of permanent placement.
