We pride ourselves on efficiency, teamwork, and personalized service while utilizing modern pharmacy technology to streamline operations. We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team on a per diem/part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced retail environment and works well alongside an experienced pharmacy team. Position Summary The Staff Pharmacist will primarily be responsible for prescription verification, ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing, and supporting our existing pharmacist and pharmacy staff throughout the day. This position focuses on maintaining workflow efficiency while delivering excellent patient care. Responsibilities Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently. Perform prospective drug utilization reviews (DURs). Counsel patients on medication therapy and answer clinical questions. Supervise and support pharmacy technicians throughout the dispensing process. Communicate with prescribers regarding clarifications, refill authorizations, therapeutic substitutions, and medication concerns. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations. Maintain accurate documentation and pharmacy records. Help optimize workflow to ensure prescriptions are processed in a timely manner. Support a collaborative, patient-focused work environment. Qualifications Required Active California Pharmacist License in good standing. Retail pharmacy experience. Strong knowledge of California pharmacy laws and regulations. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Preferred Experience using DigitalRx pharmacy software. Experience in an independent pharmacy. Experience with specialty pharmacy or long-term care is a plus. Schedule Approximately 2-3 shifts per week Per diem/part-time Flexible scheduling available Potential for additional shifts as the pharmacy continues to grow What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Works efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.
