Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available for a contract role within outpatient oncology infusion services. This position requires expertise in chemotherapy and strong intravenous (IV) medication knowledge. The role supports a prominent healthcare team serving multiple sites across the Los Angeles metro area, with final assignment locations to be determined.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and check intravenous (IV) chemotherapy preparations Ensure compliance with USP 797 and 800 standards for safe handling of hazardous drugs Collaborate with oncology care teams in outpatient infusion settings Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for medication management and documentationDesired Qualifications:
Current pharmacist license with clinical pharmacy experience Proven chemotherapy and oncology infusion background required Solid understanding of IV admixture processes and safety protocols Familiarity with USP 797 and USP 800 regulations Experience working night shifts in a pharmacy or clinical settingSchedule:
Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM (overnight shift) This contract position has an initial duration of 13 weeks with potential for extension. Candidates must be prepared for deployment across various locations in the Los Angeles area as determined by organizational needs.
