Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available supporting an outpatient/ambulatory infusion division. This role focuses primarily on the review, dispensing, and verification of hazardous and non-hazardous medications for oncology and infusion patients, ensuring accurate and safe medication use.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM This 13-week contract position begins on September 28 and offers the chance to work with a leading healthcare provider in a community setting in Littleton, CO.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing order review and medication verification for chemotherapy and infusion therapies Dispensing hazardous and non-hazardous medications accurately to oncology and infusion patients Utilizing EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document and manage medication orders Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and safety standards
Qualifications:
Current Colorado pharmacist license in good standing Minimum of 2 years infusion pharmacy experience; chemotherapy experience is a strong plus Proficiency with EPIC or comparable EMR systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance with safety protocols Ability to work onsite in Littleton, CO; local candidates preferred This contract role offers a focused clinical setting with opportunities to refine infusion pharmacy skills and contribute to high-quality patient care.
