Job Description
A top ranked teaching hospital in New England is seeking a Pediatric NICU Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to provide specialized clinical pharmacy services within its Level IV NICU. This role includes multidisciplinary rounds, optimizing medication therapy, developing protocols, mentoring pharmacy learners and staff, answering drug information questions, and serving as a medication expert for critically ill neonates. The position is full-time with rotating days, every third weekend, and occasional holidays/overnights. Qualified candidates must have a PharmD or a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with significant inpatient experience, along with at least 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience including 3 years of pediatric experience or equivalent pediatric residency training. Strong pediatric pharmacotherapy knowledge and NICU experience are required. PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy residency training, board certification, or other advanced specialty certification is preferred. Connecticut pharmacist licensure is required. Compensation is $54-$84/hour ($112K-$175K) plus evening, night, and weekend differentials, a $15,000 sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits including 26 PTO days, 403(b) with match, health/dental/vision, and employee assistance programs.
