We are currently seeking an experienced: Senior Pharmacist who provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integration of drug distribution, patient monitoring, staff education and patient counseling and teaching activities.
The Senior Pharmacist supervises and directs technical support staff. The Senior Pharmacist performs medication reconciliation, therapeutic drug monitoring, medication recommendations and patient education. These duties require direct collaboration with patients, physicians, nurses and other ancillary care givers. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy or other supervisory staff,a Senior Pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the Director of Pharmacy. Qualifications Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.
D.) preferred Skills Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Effective interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
Knowledgeable of and compliance with laws, rules and regulations that govern the practice of pharmacy.
Pyxis experience with knowledge of Pyxis Reports (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)
Some travel, to follow-up with Corporate, Financial, GPO, Compliance and Pyxis issues.
