Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A healthcare facility in Lewes, DE is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with Oncology expertise for a direct hire position. This role focuses on providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a hospital oncology setting, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert medication management.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify chemotherapy and other oncology medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness. Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and healthcare teams to develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans. Monitor patient responses and manage adverse drug reactions related to oncology medications. Provide education and counseling to patients and healthcare staff on oncology drug therapies. Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research as applicable.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with current, active license. Proven experience in hospital pharmacy practice with a focus on oncology. Strong knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and oncology pharmacotherapy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail in high-stress environments.
