Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract Immediate opening for a Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations at a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital in Georgetown, DE. This contract role offers the opportunity to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) while providing daily pharmacy staffing within a dynamic rehab setting.
Responsibilities:
Serve as PIC, ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations Staff the pharmacy for 40 hours per week, including weekday coverage Provide oversight and direction to pharmacy technicians (1 tech per shift) Manage pharmacy operations utilizing Wellsky pharmacy system and Pyxis automation Perform IV compounding (no chemotherapy involved) Potential weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage as needed
Schedule:
Pharmacy hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Flexible to support additional coverage requirements
Qualifications:
Current pharmacist license with eligibility to serve as Pharmacist in Charge Experience with hospital pharmacy operations preferred Proficient in Wellsky pharmacy system and Pyxis automation Skilled in sterile IV compounding Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a small team
