Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem Provide expert pharmacy care in a per diem role focused on supporting a specialized patient population. This opportunity involves working at pharmacies in Plantation (Ft. Lauderdale), FL, with additional per diem openings available nearby. The position emphasizes delivering compassionate, respectful, and knowledgeable service to patients living with
HIV/AIDS.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately, with a specialty in
HIV/AIDS
pharmaceutical care Engage empathetically and respectfully with patients, building trust and providing support Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes Maintain proactive pharmacy practice—identifying and fulfilling operational needs as they arise Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, providers, and team members
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of retail or specialty pharmacy experience, specifically with
HIV/AIDS
medication dispensing Demonstrated sensitivity and respect toward the
HIV/AIDS
patient population Proficiency with QS1 pharmacy software and ability to adapt to pharmacy technologies quickly Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to consistent presence when scheduled Positive attitude and pharmacy intuition to anticipate and respond to pharmacy demands
Schedule and Location:
Per diem position supporting shifts primarily on Thursdays, starting 7/30 from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Pharmacy operational hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM-5:30 PM, Friday 8:30 AM-12:30 PM No weekend shifts required Position located in Plantation (Ft.
