Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy and provide counseling on medication use, side effects, and interactions Manage pharmacy inventory, including stock control, medication compounding, and ensuring proper storage conditions in compliance with USP 797 standards for sterile preparations Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management plans, including pain management, immunizations, and acute care interventions Utilize Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Record (EHR), and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for efficient prescription processing and documentation Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by maintaining clinical confidentiality policies, drug regulation adherence, and practicing within scope of practice Lead pharmacy teams by managing daily operations, and fostering a culture of excellent patient service and safety Requirements Valid pharmacist license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards Proven experience in clinical pharmacy settings such as hospital or LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy environments Critical care experience highly preferred, with knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medication administration protocols Demonstrated proficiency in pharmacy software systems and aseptic techniques for compounding medications Strong understanding of drug regulation laws, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations including USP 797 standards for sterile preparations Excellent patient communication skills with a focus on customer service and client education Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as immunizations or IV infusion training are advantageous Experience practicing as a pharmacist in community or hospital settings with a focus on patient care and medication safety Ability to manage pharmacy operations efficiently while maintaining high standards of clinical confidentiality and healthcare compliance Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through expert pharmaceutical care!
