Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing pharmaceutical care to patients in a dynamic hospital environment, including a Level I Trauma Center. This position requires expertise in clinical pharmacy practices, medication administration, and patient assessment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized medication therapy plans. Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate medication needs and potential interactions. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements regarding medication dispensing and administration. Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use, side effects, and proper administration techniques. Maintain accurate records of medication orders, inventory, and patient profiles. Stay current with advancements in pharmacotherapy and participate in continuing education opportunities. Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.
D.) degree from an accredited institution. Active pharmacist license in the state of practice. Experience in a hospital setting, particularly within a Level I Trauma Center, is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, clinical pharmacy practices, and medication administration protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education. Ability to assess patient needs accurately and provide compassionate care.
