Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at an Indian Health Clinic located in Hialeah, FL. This PRN, contract position involves supporting daily pharmacy operations under the supervision of the Chief Health Officer. The dress code is flexible, allowing scrubs or business casual attire (excluding all black).

Responsibilities:

Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and proper dosage Prepare and dispense medications in compliance with regulatory and quality standards Verify accurate filling of MedBoxes Counsel patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans Perform medication reconciliation to maintain accurate and comprehensive medication histories Manage medication therapy for patients with chronic health conditions Monitor for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications Supervise pharmacy technicians in prescription filling, inventory management, and operational workflows Maintain precise patient records and documentation Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Licensed Pharmacist qualified to practice in the state Experience in clinical pharmacy settings, preferably in community or health clinic environments Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and regulatory compliance Excellent communication and patient counseling skills Ability to lead and oversee pharmacy technicians effectively Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
