Duties Dispense prescription medications accurately using pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions Provide expert guidance on medication administration, including IV infusion, aseptic technique, and compounding medications Manage inventory levels efficiently to ensure medication availability while maintaining proper storage conditions Collaborate with healthcare professionals on medical management plans, pain management strategies, and patient care initiatives Administer immunizations and perform patient education on medication use, side effects, and safety precautions Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times Requirements Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction Extensive clinical pharmacy experience, including critical care or LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy preferred Proven experience with pharmacy residency programs or specialized training in hospital or acute care settings Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology principles Hands-on experience with pharmacy software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR systems Skilled in compounding medications and aseptic techniques for sterile preparations Ability to perform patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and medical management effectively Experience with inventory management, IV insertion, infusion therapy, and medication administration protocols Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and data security Join us to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to advancing patient care through clinical excellence.
