Baptist Health is currently looking for a Pharmacist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville! This is a full-time, various shift opportunity at our beautiful campus in downtown Jacksonville. This is a central operations role within the Central Pharmacy, IV room, and OR Satellite. The primary working hours and shift are 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with every fourth weekend shifts required. This Pharmacist will be working in the central pharmacy checking patient orders, authorizations, and dispensing medications. This Pharmacist will be supervising technicians and consulting with other medical staff on medication and regimens. This is an opportunity to do hybrid functions within the central pharmacy and gain clinical experience. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for: Entering orders with great accuracy. Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor. Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned. Answering questions for all health care professionals. Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff. Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.
Education & Credential Requirements:
Registered Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy Required Licensed Pharmacist - DOH Required Bachelor of Science Required A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required. In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is preferred and PGY1 Residency is preferred. This Pharmacist position will be located at Baptist Jacksonville.
