Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A small hospital in Florida is seeking a reliable Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for an immediate opening. This 13-week contract offers a steady Monday-Friday day shift schedule and is ideal for a pharmacist who is comfortable taking on PIC responsibilities in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Leadership experience is welcomed, but this role is best suited for a pharmacist ready to step into oversight duties without the need for extensive director-level experience.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily pharmacy operations as Pharmacist-in-Charge Perform order verification and ensure accurate medication dispensing Supervise and support pharmacy technicians Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication therapies Ensure compliance with state regulations and hospital policies Maintain proper medication storage, safety, and workflow efficiency
Qualifications:
Active Florida Pharmacist License (required) Previous inpatient or hospital experience preferred Willingness to take on PIC responsibilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Skills:
Leadership and team supervision abilities Effective communication with interdisciplinary teams Solid clinical knowledge and problem-solving skills Ability to manage workflow in a rehab hospital setting
