We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead our growing independent community pharmacy. This position combines patient care, pharmacy operations, compliance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and passionate about independent pharmacy. Key Responsibilities Pharmacy Operations & Patient Care Oversee and participate in daily pharmacy workflow, including prescription entry, filling, verification, and dispensing. Review prescriptions and patient profiles for accuracy, appropriate dosing, allergies, interactions, and other clinical concerns. Communicate with prescribers when clarification or additional information is needed. Counsel patients and provide medication-related guidance. Manage medication inventory, ordering, and stock levels. Supervise pharmacy technicians and support an efficient daily workflow. Compliance & Quality Maintain compliance with federal and Florida pharmacy laws, DEA requirements, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and HIPAA. Maintain proper controlled-substance accountability, records, and documentation. Ensure pharmacy policies and procedures are consistently followed. Maintain accurate records and documentation for inspections and audits. Monitor temperature logs, expired medications, recalls, and other inventory controls. Conduct required CQI activities and Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Identify, investigate, resolve, and document appropriate prescription and controlled-substance red flags. Leadership Provide guidance and support to pharmacy staff. Promote a professional, organized, and patient-focused work environment. Help strengthen relationships with patients and local healthcare providers. Identify opportunities to improve workflow, patient care, and pharmacy services.

Pay:

$56.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
