Qualifications/Skills:

• Required Certifications:

  BLS through AHA

• State Licensure Requirements:

  Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the facility state. Additional state-specific Pharmacist-in-Charge credentials (licensure/training requirements)
• Minimum year's experience:
• Required experience: Required minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy practice experience (full time). If less than full time, will consider with additional years of experience and discussion of skills built during hospital tenure(s)
• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with a PharmD or equivalent degree

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Independent in at least one institutional electronic medical record and pharmacy information system, preferred experience with more than one electronic medical record and pharmacy information system.
• Required experience with hospital pharmacy automated dispensing machines; preferred experience with Omnicell.
• Preferred experience with regulatory compliance oversight with a background in audits, policies, and staff oversight.
• Strong knowledge of drug therapies, dosing, interactions, and compounding practices
• Experience with electronic medication records and order entry systems (e.g., Pyxis, EPIC)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to function independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and hospital compliance requirements
