Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to join our growing pharmacy team in Jupiter, Florida. This position will play an integral role in our sterile compounding operations, helping ensure that compounded sterile preparations are prepared safely, accurately, and in accordance with applicable regulatory and quality standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on sterile compounding experience, a strong understanding of USP <797> , and experience working within controlled cleanroom environments. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a collaborative and fast-paced pharmacy environment. Key Responsibilities Perform and oversee sterile compounding activities in accordance with USP <797> , Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements, and established pharmacy policies and procedures. Verify compounded sterile preparations for accuracy, quality, and compliance prior to dispensing. Ensure proper aseptic technique is maintained throughout the sterile compounding process. Review formulations, calculations, batch documentation, and compounding records. Supervise and support registered pharmacy technicians involved in sterile compounding activities. Maintain compliance with cleanroom gowning, hand hygiene, cleaning, disinfection, and environmental monitoring procedures. Assist with personnel training and competency assessments related to sterile compounding and aseptic technique. Ensure proper documentation and traceability of ingredients, components, and compounded preparations. Monitor appropriate storage conditions, beyond-use dating, labeling, and handling of compounded sterile preparations. Participate in quality assurance activities, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous process improvement. Assist with maintaining inspection readiness and compliance with applicable federal and Florida pharmacy regulations. Collaborate with the Pharmacist-in-Charge and pharmacy leadership to support safe and efficient pharmacy operations. Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution. Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist license required. Previous hands-on sterile compounding experience strongly preferred. Strong working knowledge of USP <797> and aseptic processing requirements. Experience working in ISO-classified cleanroom environments preferred. Knowledge of 503A pharmacy operations and applicable state and federal regulations preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and quality. Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary pharmacy team. Preferred Experience 2+ years of sterile compounding experience. Experience in a 503A sterile compounding pharmacy . Experience with cleanroom operations and environmental monitoring. Experience supervising or training sterile compounding pharmacy technicians. Familiarity with quality assurance, SOPs, deviations, CAPA, and inspection readiness. What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience. Full-time position.
