Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective medication management for patients across various hospital departments, including critical care units, emergency rooms, and specialized pediatric and trauma centers. Your expertise will support patient care by providing comprehensive medication therapy management, clinical consultations, and medication dispensing services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your clinical knowledge and patient service skills will directly impact health outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including trauma center exposure, and demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional patient-centered care. Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately in accordance with physicians' prescriptions while adhering to all safety protocols and aseptic techniques. Provide clinical pharmacy services by reviewing medication orders, assessing patient conditions, and recommending optimal therapy options. Collaborate with healthcare teams in managing complex cases within
ICU, PICU
(Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and emergency settings, ensuring appropriate medication administration and pain management strategies. Monitor patients' responses to medications, adjusting therapies as needed based on physiology knowledge and patient assessment findings. Manage IV infusion preparations and ensure sterile compounding procedures meet all regulatory standards. Support hospital initiatives related to medication safety, inventory control, managed care protocols, and compliance with hospital policies. Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use, potential side effects, contraindications, and proper administration techniques to promote safe patient service and care. Skills Extensive hospital experience with a focus on critical care environments such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), and emergency rooms. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and acute care practices essential for effective patient assessment. Proven expertise in managed care processes and post-residency clinical pharmacy experience within hospital settings. Hands-on experience with medication administration, IV infusion preparation, aseptic technique, and pain management protocols. Familiarity with pediatrics (including PICU) and acute pain management strategies tailored to diverse patient populations. Ability to interpret complex medical data quickly while maintaining high standards of patient safety and service excellence. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure situations requiring critical thinking.
