Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A post-acute specialty hospital with 40 staffed beds and an average daily census of 35 is seeking a full-time pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)/Consultant of Record (COR). This role is essential, as you will be the sole full-time pharmacist responsible for providing pharmacy staffing and oversight.
Location:
Parrish, FL Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage required.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as PIC/COR and take full responsibility for pharmacy operations and compliance. Provide direct pharmacy staffing and leadership within a small team including one pharmacy technician. Oversee clinical and operational pharmacy services during business hours. Support the Remote Order Entry Service after hours/weekends by serving as on-call backup pharmacist. Manage pharmacy workflow using Wellsky hospital pharmacy system and Pyxis automation. Perform IV compounding in a segregated compounding area (no chemotherapy).
Desired Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist in Florida with an active Consultant license (COR). Hospital pharmacy experience preferred, especially in a post-acute or specialty setting. Familiarity with Wellsky pharmacy system and Pyxis automation highly desirable. IV compounding experience in a controlled setting. Ability to assume leadership role and start promptly.
