Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Staff Pharmacist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through expert medication management and clinical services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your extensive pharmacy knowledge. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will ensure safe medication dispensing, provide clinical consultations, and support medical management initiatives to improve patient outcomes. Your expertise in pharmacy operations and patient assessment will help foster a compassionate, efficient, and compliant pharmacy setting. Duties Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all safety protocols Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy, including pediatrics, pain management, and acute care cases. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to optimize medication plans and medical management strategies. Manage pharmacy inventory efficiently, including stock control, medication ordering, and ensuring proper storage of pharmaceuticals. Support pharmacy technician staff by overseeing workflow, providing guidance on pharmacy software systems, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, medication records, and incident reports to uphold safety and quality standards. Qualifications Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience. Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems (Prime RX) EMR/EHR platforms, and inventory management tools. Demonstrated ability to perform patient service tasks such as patient assessment, and pain management protocols. Excellent understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
