Job Description

Overview Clinical Pharmacist

•PRN | UF Health Central Florida Join UF Health Central Florida as a PRN Clinical Pharmacist and become part of a collaborative pharmacy team focused on safe, effective, and patient-centered medication management. The Clinical Pharmacist provides pharmacy services for patients within assigned clinical areas and works closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team. This role is responsible for reviewing medication therapy, identifying and resolving medication-related concerns, and supporting optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Review medication orders for appropriate indication, dosing, interactions, contraindications, and therapeutic effectiveness Provide clinical pharmacy recommendations to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Monitor medication therapy and help identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes Support safe medication preparation, dispensing, and administration practices Serve as a clinical pharmacy resource for the interdisciplinary care team Attendance and involvement in varied medical staff committees/meeting Assist with medication safety, quality improvement, and pharmacy-related initiatives Adverse drug reaction reporting and follow-up, therapeutic interchanges, parenteral nutrition monitoring, pharmacokinetics dosing and follow-up, medication dosing and follow-up (ex. coumadin, antibiotics) and IV to PO recommendations. Qualifications Education:

•Professional School, College Masters, or more

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Valid Florida Pharmacist License Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
