A thorough understanding of USP 795, 797 and 800 is essential when determining the quality of pharmacy products. Effective leadership and department work-flow management optimize technician productivity.

Job Activities and Responsibilities :
The responsibilities listed below are subject to change. Responsible for a full understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to sterile compounding activities Train, develop, and monitor staff in specific department Understand compounding techniques outlined in USP 795, 797 and 800 Ensure all QA/QC tasks completed and documented in appropriate environmental platform Processing of prescriptions using pharmacy software Consultation with patients and providers regarding our compounded medications as well as traditional medications. Quarantines expired products and processes returns/destruction of such products per state law. Assist in developing and seeing through the sterile drug production schedule weekly to best make available the most critical products based on dispensing history and current needs. Follows the pharmacy's standard operating procedures regarding medication compounding and preparation, appropriate compounding log documentation, medication labeling with correct BUD, and controlled substances reconciliation when applicable. Inventory control and supply management equip technicians to perform their tasks without interruption. Other duties as designated Staff pharmacists report directly to the General Manager.
Qualifications:
Licensed pharmacist in the state in which you are applying. Compounding pharmacy experience Proficient in USP 797 and hands on experience in aseptic technique/cleanroom environment Leadership skill and ability to manage staff effectively and efficiently Excellent customer services skills and a genuine desire to serve clients, organization and strong phone skills Organized, high-integrity, attention to detail, dependable, quality focus, empathetic, good listener/communicator Energetic, highly motivated, team player with strong personal and communication skills; discretion and confidentiality essential as position deals with highly sensitive and private data Compounding preparations of acceptable quality, strength, and purity with appropriate packaging and labeling regarding good pharmacy practices, state regulations, PCAB standards, and current scientific applications Other duties, responsibilities and qualifications may be required and/or assigned as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Licensed in the state in which you are applying Proficient in using a computer and related equipment, including printers and fax machines. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Effective communication skills via telephone and email.
