Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Pharmacist who will be responsible mainly for performing audits as well as other performance improvement duties. The pharmacist will also assist with preparing and dispensing medications, advising healthcare providers on drug therapies, and providing excellent customer service to patients. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of psychiatric medications. The hours would be Mon
  • Fri 9:00am
  • 2:00pm. One weekend a month and occasional holidays
  • 8:00am
  • 12pm Duties and Responsibilities Conducting polypharmacy audits, controlled medication, and other clinical audits Dispensing medication orders Ensuring accuracy and safety of the medication process Providing drug information and education to medical staff and patients Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of pharmacy policies and procedures Monitoring drug therapies for effectiveness and interactions Maintaining inventory of medications and supplies Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.
D. from an accredited college or university State Pharmacy license in good standing Experience with electronic medical records and pharmacy systems Excellent organizational and communication skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Able to work flexible hours and respond quickly to urgent situations
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience or training in psychiatry Georgia Regional Hospital
  • Savannah (GRHS) operates 179 licensed, accredited inpatient beds for two major program areas: 1) adult mental health, 2) adult forensic services.
GRHS offers inpatient adult mental health services, inpatient habilitation services and forensic program services to individuals throughout Georgia. This opportunity will close when we have an adequate candidate field and/or filled the position.
