RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY

Provides safe, effective and efficient drug distribution, monitors patient's response to drug therapy, and provides reliable and relevant drug information to patients and health care professionals. Involved in business aspects to maintain a profitable company.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Subjected to noise/vibration from air conditioner, printers, time stamp machines, etc. Exposure to chemo drugs and antibiotics and chemicals; dust, odors and cleaning/ disinfectant fumes. Work environment is fast paced, congested and may be stressful due to workload. Interacts with patients, nurses, physicians and the general public. Works on multiple tasks at the same time. May be exposed to communicable diseases.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy

B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE

Current Hawaii State license as a Pharmacist. Current BLS certification preferred.

C. EXPERIENCE

Experience to demonstrate the following: Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and supporting/facilitating positive team interaction/development. Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations. Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to act calmly and tactfully in stressful or confrontational situations.
