Job Details Click to go Back to Job Listings May 27, 2026, 9:18:17 AM HST Title of Position Pharmacist - Pharmacy KMC Work Hours Regular Full-Time (Req# 2026-165) Varying 8-hour shifts with rotating days off, weekend, and holidays; 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime and last-minute schedule changes may be required. Subsidiary Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position The Pharmacist is a licensed professional who is responsible for monitoring the safe distribution and use of drugs in accordance with standard practices of the profession, administrative policies of the Health System, Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards, and State and Federal laws, maintaining high professional standards and quality of patient services rendered. Responsible for the monitoring of patient's drug therapy, extemporaneous compounding, IV/Chemotherapy preparation, drug information, and patient discharge prescription consultation. In addition to performing the duties of a staff pharmacist, the Pharmacist is also assigned special projects. Qualifications and Requirements Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy required. Must be licensed to practice in the State of Hawaii with a current pharmacist license. Experience as a hospital pharmacist preferred. Basic computer experience required; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
