Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Soliant is looking for an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to step into a leadership role at a community hospital in Iowa. If you enjoy leading a close-knit team, improving pharmacy operations, and making an immediate impact, this is a great opportunity to help stabilize a department while supporting the search for a permanent director. What You'll Be Doing Oversee daily pharmacy operations while serving as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) Lead and support a team of 3 pharmacists and 4 pharmacy technicians Manage staffing, budgeting, meetings, compliance, and departmental performance Assist with recruitment efforts and help maintain stable pharmacy operations Provide occasional staffing support and limited on-call coverage as needed What We're Looking For Active Iowa Pharmacist license Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience Previous pharmacy management or Director of Pharmacy experience Experience with USP <797> and USP <800> sterile compounding standards Familiarity with Meditech and Omnicell is a plus Position Details ASAP start with an expected assignment of 3+ months Monday through Friday business hours with flexibility as needed Small hospital environment with a collaborative team Professional dress code Training and onboarding provided to ensure a smooth transition
