Pharmacist

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Provide pharmaceutical care services to the patients of BCHC including, but not limited to oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing and proper documentation of patient medication therapy as well as providing drug information, patient information and oversight of information and dispensing systems; ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations as well as proper storage and documentation.

EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

Completion of a B.S. or Pharm.

D. in pharmacy required. Iowa Pharmacist licensure, either by examination or by reciprocity, is required. Basic Life Support certification required. Immunization Administration Certification preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience (2-3 years minimum) in an acute care pharmacy or complex health care organization preferred. Demonstrated competence in the area of medication use processes and monitoring required. Significant skill and knowledge in IS applications / automated technology is desired.

Salary Range:

$57.18-$80.05
