Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract To Hire A retail pharmacist in charge position is available in Rock Falls, IA, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role involves overseeing daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail environment and requires a detail-oriented individual with leadership skills and regulatory knowledge.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM 1st shift
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily pharmacy activities ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. Supervise, train, and lead pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians. Review and verify prescriptions to guarantee accuracy and patient safety. Oversee medication inventory, including controlled substances, and maintain accurate pharmacy records. Develop and enforce pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality standards. Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues and improve patient outcomes. Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy workflow.
Qualifications:
Active and clear pharmacist license in Illinois. Experience as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or in a management role within a pharmacy setting. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems, preferably McKesson Enterprise. Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and pharmacy operations.

This position is initially a 13-week contract to hire. Candidates willing to travel or relocate temporarily will be considered while the search for a local candidate continues.
