Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a 40-bed rehabilitation hospital in Meridian, ID. This role offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule, providing consistent hours while contributing to quality patient care in a specialized setting. The assignment begins ASAP and extends for 13 weeks or more.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify and process medication orders accurately to ensure safe patient treatment Supervise pharmacy technicians, overseeing daily workflow and quality standards Consult regularly with nurses and physicians to optimize medication therapy and address patient needs Utilize pharmacokinetic principles to individualize dosing regimens for patients Work with the hospital's Cerner IT system for medication management and documentation
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Active Idaho Pharmacist license or ability to obtain it quickly Previous hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in rehabilitation or acute care settings, is highly preferred Proficiency with Cerner or similar pharmacy information systems Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clinical staff and healthcare teams
Schedule:
