A clinical pharmacy opportunity is available in an oncology clinic environment, offering a dynamic setting focused on patient-centered care. This contract-to-hire position provides a 13-week assignment with potential for extension and direct hire. Work days are Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, supporting a stable schedule that aligns with typical business hours.
Responsibilities:
Manage oncology clinical pharmacy services with a strong focus on individualized patient care plans. Collaborate in developing and reviewing clinical oncology treatment protocols. Supervise pharmacy technicians during the preparation and sterile compounding of hazardous medications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards. Oversee pharmacy operations to maintain a high level of compliance and quality. Utilize Epic for order entry and clinical documentation related to oncology treatments.
Qualifications:
Active Illinois pharmacy license. Proven experience in a clinical pharmacy role, specifically within oncology. Skilled in handling and preparing hazardous drugs, including chemotherapy agents. Demonstrated proficiency in sterile compounding. Experience with Epic electronic health record systems. Comfortable working independently in an isolated pharmacy setting.
