Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A skilled Pharmacist is needed to manage nighttime pharmaceutical services on a 7-on, 7-off schedule at a prominent pediatric hospital setting in Chicago, IL. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with pediatric patients, gaining specialized experience in weight-based dosing and hospital pharmacy operations.

9 PM to 7:30 AM 7 days on, 7 days off
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions during night shifts Provide pharmaceutical care specifically tailored to pediatric patients, including weight-based dosing Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy Utilize and maintain pharmacy IT systems including EPIC and Omnicell Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Illinois Pharmacist license required Demonstrated hospital pharmacy experience, ideally in pediatric settings Proficiency and comfort with pediatric pharmacology and weight-based medication dosing Experience using EPIC, Omnicell, or similar pharmacy information systems Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills required This contract role starts as soon as possible and is expected to last 13 weeks or longer. Candidates must be ready to commit to the night shift schedule and bring a compassionate, patient-centered approach to pharmaceutical care.
