Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A dynamic opportunity is available for a Clinical Hospital Staff Pharmacist to support inpatient hospital operations over a 13-week contract, with potential for extension. This role involves rotating shifts between first and second shifts, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Location:
Cicero, IL Schedule/Hours:
Rotating first and second shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM Rotating weekends
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient hospital setting. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapies. Support oncology patient care through specialized pharmaceutical knowledge, when applicable. Utilize Cerner electronic medical records for accurate documentation and medication management. Participate actively in medication use evaluations and safety initiatives.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Strong inpatient clinical pharmacy experience. Oncology experience is preferred to enhance patient care for specialized populations. Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy systems is highly advantageous. Licensed pharmacist with a valid Illinois pharmacy license. Commitment to operating within signed agreements and hospital policies.
