Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract Two temporary Staff Pharmacists are needed to support warehouse pharmacy operations on a 13-week contract in Cicero, IL. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., ideal for candidates experienced in medication management and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty items. Manage inventory levels by ordering medications and supplies, minimizing waste and expired products. Ensure proper storage conditions in compliance with USP standards and state/federal regulations. Verify medication orders prior to preparation or shipment. Supervise pharmacy technicians responsible for inventory, picking, packing, and shipping. Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to support patient order fulfillment. Review controlled substance inventory and maintain accurate documentation. Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and quality assurance audits. Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to ensure timely medication delivery. Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems to track stock.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid and active Illinois pharmacy license. Familiarity with intravenous (IV) medications. Strong knowledge of inventory management and regulatory compliance. Experience supervising pharmacy technicians. Ability to work within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Cicero, Illinois Schedule:
Monday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to contribute critical support to warehouse pharmacy operations while applying expertise in medication handling and inventory management. Qualified pharmacists with an IL license and IV medication knowledge are encouraged to apply today to be considered for this 13-week role. Compensation for this position ranges from $47.00 to $68.00.
